医院具备临床医学本、硕、博完备的人才培养体系和临床医学模拟培训中心，形成集教学、培训、考试、科研一体化的临床能力培训体系，是广西及面向东盟的医学人才培养培训的核心基地。

The First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi Medical University, established in 1934, stands as Guangxi's premier Grade 3 Class A comprehensive medical institution. It serves as the hub for the region's clinical healthcare, medical education, research, and healthcare. Ranking third in South China for comprehensive strength, it has consistently secured a place in China's Top 100 General Hospitals.
Presently, the hospital boasts 2750 available beds and excels in various aspects. It houses 17 national key clinical specialties, 28 key clinical specialties, and 31 key disciplines in Guangxi. The hospital specializes in combating prevalent diseases such as thalassemia, hepatocellular carcinoma, nasopharyngeal carcinoma, and cardiovascular disorders. Notably, pediatric parental liver transplantation ranks among the world's advanced level.
