University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC) is the first Sino-foreign university in China, and one of the pioneer in the international collaboration of education, research and knowledge exchange between UK and China, focusing on a wide range of areas such as new energy, green transportation, healthcare, creative industry, etc.

As an international campus of University of Nottingham, UNNC has been a successful bridge for the UK-China healthcare collaboration in talent development, people’s dialogue, research and advanced technology transfer and commercialization. Since 2013, UNNC has built up strategic partnership in China with local healthcare authorities, leading public hospitals, top medical schools and universities and international pharmaceutical companies. Through long-term collaboration with key stakeholders of healthcare industry in China, we have deep understanding about the healthcare system, established extensive research network, designed and delivered many new collaborative programme and research projects in support of China’s healthcare industry development. From 2018, over thousands of senior leaders in the public hospitals attended the Nottingham Healthcare Management and Leadership Workshop to study new policies and best practices of public hospital management in China, and our researchers are very active in producing clinic guidelines with leading scholars and top physicians to improve the healthcare quality for patients in China. Healthcare is also one of three research themes in “The Nottingham Ningbo China Beacons of Excellence Research and Innovation Institute”, a new strategic research investment in support of national strategic development and local social and economic development.
